The East Kent Vintage Club based out of Ridgetown Ontario held their 14th annual show civic holiday weekend. The club wanted to bring something new to the show for spectators to take in and also for a club fundraiser. This year show feature was J.I. Case tractors and equipment. Robbin Wenzoski of Robbins Amazing Art (www.robbinsamazingart.com) Muirkirk Ont was commissioned to do a chainsaw carving at the show. Robbin choose to carve the iconic symbol of the J.I. Case company, ?Old Abe? the famous bald eagle standing on the world. Robbin truly turned our dreams into reality with this creation! The carving was made from an ash log, it has been power carved with chainsaws, hand carved and sanded to finish off all the fine details. It is coated with sikkens wood stain for preservation. It weighs approximately 200lbs and stands roughly 4ft 8? with a base width of 23?. Special thanks to Kearney Planters (www.kearneyplanters.com) Thamesville Ontario for generously donating this chainsaw carving to the East Kent Vintage Club for a fundraising tool. The E.KV.E.C. generously helps worthy causes in the Ridgetown area, proceeds of this fundraising campaign will be allocated to: Naahi Ridge Public School?s Breakfast program and the Ridgetown Progressive Ag Farm Safety Day for Kids.
